LG OLED C9 The LG C9 is a fantastic OLED TV that offers the usual advantages of an OLED panel: Perfect blacks, an infinite contrast ratio and a very wide viewing angle. These advantages are enhanced by HDMI 2.1, which combined with a very low input lag provides great gaming performance. But the C9 is also a great choice for movies, TV shows and HDR content. | Sony A9G OLED Sony A9G is also a great OLED TV, but it has a different focus. The panel comes from LG Display itself, so the picture characteristics are more or less the same. However, the processor of the Sony AG9 is better than the C9 in terms of interpolation and image processing. In addition, the A9G offers sound from screen, which provides a fantastic sound experience. It's less suitable for gaming, though. |

Our conclusion: Gaming OLED or sound monster?
LG C9 vs Sony A9G – Which TV should you buy? If you like gaming and want one of the best OLED TVs for movies, TV shows and HDR, the LG C9 is the right choice. In addition, the LG C9 offers HDMI 2.1, which makes it extremely future-proof. As a matter of fact, all OLED manufacturers use a panel from LG Display in the current market.
However, Sony has created an equal device with the A9G. The panel is the more or less the same, but the Sony processor provides better interpolation and image processing. Furthermore, thanks to Sony Acoustic Surface Audio+, the A9G integrates itself into existing sound systems and takes on the role of center speaker, which makes the A9G the better choice for films with powerful sound.
