JZW984 Series
The JZW984 is the OLED light of this year’s line-up, as it only uses a standard OLED panel compared to the other models. That’s complaining on a high level, as the standard OLED panel delivers excellent picture quality: a theoretically infinite contrast, perfect blacks and a wide viewing angle.
The peak brightness is also 690 nitsSI unit of luminance: 1 nit = 1 cd/m – The best way of measuring and comparing a TVs brightness , which is quite a good value for an OLED.In addition, the JZW984 has the advanced HCX Pro AI processor as well as two HDMI 2.1 ports with everything gamers need for the new consoles.
Even Dolby VisionDynamic HDR-format with a color depth of up to 12 Bits and Mastering of up to 10,000 Nits gaming is possible on the Xbox Series X! Of course, the Panasonic JZW984 is also suitable as an excellent Smart TV; however, the sound should be improved with a soundbar.

JWZ1004 Series
Although this OLED is not yet the top of the lineup, the JZW1004 is already a true premium product from Panasonic. However, it already has the so-called Master HDRHigh Dynamic Range – image/video with more dynamic range (contrast range) OLED panel, which is already somewhat better than the standard OLED panel of the JZW984. However, this does not apply to the 48-inch variant.
The optimised panel allows the JZW1004 to be slightly brighter with 770 nitsSI unit of luminance: 1 nit = 1 cd/m – The best way of measuring and comparing a TVs brightness , but otherwise has the same values as any other OLED TV. Added to this are Dolby Vision IQDynamic HDR-format with a color depth of up to 12 Bits and Mastering of up to 10,000 Nits, which can adapt to the ambient brightness and HDR10+License-free, dynamic HDR-format in competition with Dolby Vision, which adjust the brightness of the picture to the brightness of the room.
Furthermore, the OLED offers excellent gaming features including Dolby VisionDynamic HDR-format with a color depth of up to 12 Bits and Mastering of up to 10,000 Nits Gaming and excellent smart features, although Apple Airplay 2 and HomeKit are not supported.

JZW2004 Series
With the JZW2004, Panasonic released an OLED this year that is not without reason considered a TV with the best HDRHigh Dynamic Range – image/video with more dynamic range (contrast range) performance. Thanks to the optimised Master HDR OLED Professional Edition panel, which comes with an improved heat dissipation, a so-called heat sink, the OLED really belongs to the top class.
The improved panel can achieve a peak brightness of 900 nitsSI unit of luminance: 1 nit = 1 cd/m – The best way of measuring and comparing a TVs brightness , which in combination with Dolby Vision IQDynamic HDR-format with a color depth of up to 12 Bits and Mastering of up to 10,000 Nits, which can adapt to the ambient brightness and HDR10+License-free, dynamic HDR-format in competition with Dolby Vision results in incredible HDR performance. Furthermore, content is reproduced as intended by the creators, which is why it is always a faithful reproduction.
In addition, the premium OLED offers an integrated soundbar that truly stands out from the rest. The 5.1.2 channel sound system is well tuned and the only shortcoming is a lack of DTSMulti-channel-sound-system (Surround Sound) competing with Dolby Digital support.
