OLEDs are still excellent for dark environments. But in comparison, LG’s C1 and B1 can handle reflections relatively well, even if they are visible in direct light or very bright rooms.
The OLED panel in both TVs ensures that the viewing angle is very wide. Here, you can still fully enjoy the excellent picture from a very oblique angle without it looking washed out.
Again, both TVs are on par and offer excellent upscaling for older series or movies. Thus, you can watch your retro collection in very good quality. Both devices also try to get the best out of the normal TV program.
The two TVs are also almost identical in HDRHigh Dynamic Range – image/video with more dynamic range (contrast range), although the faster processor benefits the C1 here. Thus, the picture can be optimized more efficiently and HDR content looks even better. The C1 is also a bit brighter, which makes highlights stand out more. However, that is complaining on a high level, since the B1 can also conjure up excellent pictures in HDR.
Both devices are excellently equipped for the next series marathon or movie night and do not really take anything away from each other. The wide viewing angle also makes a family evening in front of the TV no problem.
Both the B1 and the C1 are perfect for any gamer and for the new consoles. However, if you want two more HDMI 2.1 ports, you should go for the C1, since there are no other differences in this area.
With the almost instant response time, both TVs are very well suited for all sporting events, as they run extremely smoothly and you can follow every movement exactly.
Both TVs really have everything a user could want. Only those who really need four HDMI 2.1 ports should perhaps go for the C1, since both TVs are almost identical in this area.
As in the previous year, both LG devices fight a close duel, from which the C1 emerges as the winner, but with a minimal lead. The biggest differences are only in the connections and especially in the processor, which is often reflected in the price.
But no matter which TV you choose, you get an absolute high-end device in your living room with both TVs. You should individually look at which additional features you need and whether you can find a good offer.
