Component

A component port receives analog video signals and consists of three connectors in the colors red, green and blue. If the green connector is also yellow, it can be used as a composite connector as well. Older game consoles such as the Nintendo Wii have this type of interface. Compared to composite connections, this standard offers a higher picture quality.
