Dirty Screen

When we talk about the dirty screen effect, we are referring to the fact that the same color tone is displayed differently in parts of the screen and color spots can be seen on the panel surface as a result. This is often due to the backlight or local dimming. It can be quite disturbing in sports broadcasts with bright uniform playing or track surfaces.
