Calibration
In relation to displays, the term refers to the adjustment of parameters such as brightness, contrast, gamma and color values. On this basis, an authentic and natural image impression can be achieved.
Generally, you have three approaches within this adjustment:
- Tune everything based on your subjective visual impression
- Adjusts the image based on suitable test patterns
- Do a professional, but expensive calibration using a colorimeter and appropriate software such as Calman from Portrait Display
