Raytracing
Raytracing is primarily about calculating light sources in a game world in real time. The goal of this lighting algorithm is to make the game environment even more photorealistic on the TV. Light waves are supposed to spread out like in the real world and thus contribute to making the graphics of video games even more lifelike.
